Over the weekend, Netvibes released an update to their great ajax-rich web desktop. They have added multiple pages with tabs, authenticated feeds support, and plenty more. A complete overview of their new features can be found on their blog. It’s been 10 years since I first used the internet, but only now, do I feel like I have a "home" on the web. Now when I open up ANY browser from ANYWHERE in the world, I’ll have MY desktop, customized and organized to MY own tastes, and integrated with the web applications that I depend on. Everything is only a quick click away. Netvibes, before this update, was already a superb web 2.0 application, covered in an earlier post here. However, the "desktop" space was too small to comfortably organize and view everything. Now, with tabs, you can dedicate a page to whatever you want.
